The JB model is the leadership model developed by Dr. Jernej Buzeti. It consists of six leader behavioral constructs that explain the influence of leader behavior on the temporary absence of employees from work (sickness absence). The model shows that a one-point increase in the perceived “reality and reasonableness” of the leader (on a 5-point scale) can translate into 2.5 fewer days of sickness absence per employee per year, and vice versa. The JB model provides organizations and leaders understanding of the relationship between leader behavior and the temporary absence of employees from work.
